Karen’s range of unique handbuilt stoneware ceramics will complement any garden setting, from traditional to modern.  Designs come from her interest in plants and landscape, blending a variety of surface textures with strong, simple shapes. Sizes range from tiny pebbles to tall seed pods.

 

A carefully chosen and sited sculpture or planter can be a focal point in a garden, giving visual impact all year round.  It can also be a lasting commemoration of a special anniversary, birthday or occasion.  Karen is happy to discuss commission or personalisation ideas.

 

All of Karen’s work is built and decorated by hand, so no two pieces can ever be identical.  Colours are muted and natural, aiming to harmonise with plants rather than compete with them.  The high temperature of the firing vitrifies the clay, so that pieces can be left outdoors all year round if desired.

 

Visitors are very welcome to her studio, where there is always a small display of finished work available.
